Iron Mountain winery is owned by Harvey and Inger Lundershausen who reside part of the year in Auburn, California and the other part on their ranch in Wyoming.  Harvey grew up in the vineyards of the north coast of California and always has had a deep rooted passion for wine and winemaking.  Harvey realized his dream of owning a winery 3 years ago when he purchased Iron Mountain Winery and together with Inger has since made some award winning wines much to the delight of their customers.  Since inception of the Winery, Iron Mountain has produced a number of red varietals including a Rhone Style wine called Eligius, a very smooth Syrah, an extremely complex and flavorful Zinfandel and a highly touted Blend of Merlot, Cabernet Savignon and Cabernet Franc which is named Ridgewood, later this year Iron Mountain Winery will be releasing its first white wine, a 2007 Pinot Grigio.  Our grapes come from two vineyards which are located in Penn Valley and Auburn and we also contract with some growers in Lodi, Ca which boasts and is known for its old vine Zinfandel.  Here at Iron Mountain Winery we enjoy every moment we spend together and all the memories we create every time we make a new wine for you to taste.  We hope you will love our wines as much as we enjoy making them and bringing them to your table.  Cheers!
